In the Name of the Wise
We are greatly honored to host you—distinguished scientists, researchers, and scholars of biomedical sciences—at the Third International Congress on Cancer Genomics, held in the beautiful and historic city of Isfahan, the cultural and civilizational capital of Islamic Iran.
Isfahan is heir to one of the oldest medical schools in the world, with a history of more than a thousand years. The great Avicenna (Ibn Sina), that remarkable genius of the history of science, once had a school of medicine in this very city, where many of the eminent physicians and sages of that era were trained.
Today as well, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences—with over ten faculties and dozens of research institutes and centers in various fields of biomedical sciences—stands among the most important and largest institutions for medical education in the country and the region.
At the Third International Congress on Cancer Genomics and its accompanying events, we strive to create a suitable platform for recognizing and fostering scientific and practical collaborations among specialists in basic and clinical sciences, both within Iran and internationally, in the areas of cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. We hope this platform will pave the way for promising and constructive advancements in the effective and targeted prevention and treatment of cancer, which remains one of the most significant threats to public health worldwide.
I sincerely hope to meet and host you soon in the beautiful city of Isfahan, during the grand event of the Third International Congress on Cancer Genomics, in the heavenly and pleasant month of Ordibehesht 1405 (April–May 2026).
Dr. Mehrdad Zeinalian
