ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The “Idea to Startup” Festival is held alongside the 3rd International Cancer Genomics Congress, hosted by Tarbiat Modarres University and organized by the Congress Commercialization Committee.

This specialized event aims to bridge cutting-edge research with the health market, providing an opportunity for innovators and researchers to present and develop their ideas and projects in direct collaboration with universities, knowledge-based companies, and investors.

The festival focuses on innovative technologies related to cancer prevention, screening, and early diagnosis; artificial intelligence and data mining in digital oncology and health; nanotechnology and advanced drug delivery systems; patient care and rehabilitation solutions; comprehensive platforms for omics data analysis and biological modeling in cancer research; emerging cancer biomarkers; biobanks and cell- and gene-based cancer products; and smart health services supporting oncology innovation.

Overall, this festival serves as a professional platform to promote innovation, strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, and accelerate the commercialization of advanced technologies in cancer prevention and treatment.

 The Idea to Startup Festival 2025 showcases inspiring stories from innovators in cancer research, highlights key trends in health and biotechnology, and offers workshops to help you shape and launch your startup idea!

Join us for an inspiring and dynamic experience — connect with innovators and professionals, gain insights from experts in cancer genomics and biotechnology, and leave empowered with the knowledge to turn your idea into a successful startup!

Target group: Teams of 3–5 members, All members must have relevant academic backgrounds or align with the festival tracks, At least one Ph.D. student or Ph.D. graduate per team

Cost: There is no fee for submitting your idea. However, registration for the Congress is required for teams selected in the first evaluation round.

Idea Submission and Initial Evaluation

Teams submit a summary of their idea, which will be evaluated in terms of innovation, economic value, technical feasibility, and business model.

Coaching and Feasibility Development

Selected teams will receive free coaching to refine and develop their ideas into a more complete feasibility study (FS) for the second round of evaluation.

Final Presentations & Awards

The top teams will present their final projects during the Congress before a panel of investors, and the winners will be announced and awarded in the closing ceremony.

To complete your participation in the festival, please prepare your final submission package carefully.

Your submission should include a PDF file of the completed proposal form and a one-minute video introducing your idea.

Please make sure that both the PDF file name and the email subject line exactly match your team name.

The 3rd International Congress of Cancer Genomics (CGC2026) will be held in Isfahan – Tehran on 2026.
