At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mowla (Scientific Secretary of the Congress) discussed how the idea of holding the Genomics Cancer Congress was formed and thanked the participation of partner scientific societies, and expressed hope that with the support of the societies, we will see the largest scientific and commercialization congress in Iran.
Dr. Ghanei (President of the Congress), while thanking the participation of scientific societies, emphasized that the greatest demand of students and graduates from scientific societies is the development of entrepreneurship and job creation.
After presenting the suggestions and recommendations of the honorable presidents of the scientific societies on how to run the congress as best as possible, the outcome of the discussions and suggestions led to the following important approvals:
? Establishment of the Cancer Genomics Consortium by the participation of all 15 participating scientific societies.
? Establishment of the International Cancer Omics Journal under the liscence of the Genomics Cancer Consortium.
? Using the full capacity of the participating scientific societies in advertisong and attracting the higher number of audiences of the CGC2023 Congress.
? Corresponding with Nimad and INSF to launch a joint call on the subject of Cancer Genomic.
